How to clean a tea stained mug

What do you get when you drink tea everyday? A tea stained mug. Tea stains are really hard to get out, especially on plastic. I use my Timolino travel mug everyday and well, it’s now all stained. It not only makes it look dirty it makes you FEEL it’s dirty (but it’s not!). My mom suggested I try this:

Sprinkle all the stained parts with baking soda. Make sure to cover them all well.

Add enough vinegar to cover all the parts. You will start seeing bubbles. Let everything soak for 10 mins.

Boil water and pour it in the mix. Let soak for another 10 mins.

After that, wash and scrub one more time and voila you have stain-free plastic.

WOW, that’s amazing! But I have I thing about plastic: I only drink in glass or porcelain cups. I feel that plastic can absorbe some odors and I definitely hate the smell of funky-plastic. Silly, I know.

Definitely going to use this on my Timolino, does it work for the stainless steel mug part as well? i seem to have some stains in that too… whish is weird since it’s “stainless steel”.

wow, I love tea and I love this timolino (going to check out where I can buy it), I usually use a normal termos to carry my green tea around, and it gets really dirty too :(
