Magnetic Nails

I came across this invention and I knew I had to try it. It’s magnetic nail polish, exactly as it sounds, nail polish that is magnetic. As you might have guessed this requires a magnet, yes a magnet, that makes the polish do all sorts of amazing things. I ordered this polish from nailpolishcanada.com, it’s one of the few brands they carry and it’s the cheapest one.

Bottle comes with a magnet on top which is detachable.

The colour is Magnetic force, online it looks more like a gray but it’s a mocha brownish colour with some hints of purple. This is what the colour looks like on it’s own, it looks like a normal polish.

Here’s what it looks like after the magnet. I applied a thick coat which is really all you need. It covers really well and it dries really quick, which is a bonus.

What you want to do is hold the magnet really close. I found that holding it sideways prevented me from hitting the nail because I could see the gap in between (I hit the nail a couple of times). The instructions say to hold it for 15 seconds but I found 3 seconds did the trick.

The magnet is what makes the wave pattern. There are magnets you can buy on your own that have several patterns. Color Club also varies the patterns between colours, so if you bought the blue for example, you might get the star magnet. You can hold the magnet different ways to change the orientation of the waves.

Pretty cool! Fast nail art without the tedious effort, it’s a quick marble look.
